Nicola Bethaz


Graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics in 1996 with the thesis: “The Use of Locoregional Growth Factors in Periodontics"

Specialization was completed in Prosthetic Implantology in 1997, in Periodontics in 1998 and in Oral Surgery in 1999 at the University of Turin.

Works as a free-lance consultant at his own Studio in Sarre (Aosta, Italy) and as

a member of the surgical implant and periodontal teams with other studios.

Since 2000, Dr Bethaz attended the Periodontic Dental School department with the role of tutor for the execution of surgery relating to degree thesis in the context of mucogingival surgery.

In 2002 he co-authored the article: "The connective tissue graft: a comparative clinical evaluation of wound healing at the palatal donor site”, which appeared in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

Between 2002 and 2004, he took part in the study for the clinical and aesthetic assessment of bilaminar grafts for covering gingival recession.

In 2005 he attended the course in Advanced Implant Surgery at the Studio of Dr Carlo Tinti. In 2006 he attended the course in immediate load implantology with Dr Tealdo Tiziano.

Since 2005, he has been Adjunct Professor for the Master in Periodontics at the University of Turin, teaching periodontal plastic surgery and surgical anatomy (course in Anatomical Dissection) and tutor for the surgery stage completed by master students.

Since 2009, teaching a course in cadaver dissection at the University of Lausanne.

In 2012, he participated in the Annual Course "Implantology: clinical methodology and technology" at the clinic of Dr. Mauro Merli.

In 2013 he attended the course held in Miami by Dr. Anthony Sclar “Comprehensive surgery course for novice and experienced implant surgeons”
